Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the US of America, is an actor and singer. Bell is an Michigan native born and raised by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). She is of Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen discovered her talents in the entertainment industry at a young age. When she was in 1992, the actress appeared at her first audition, and was able to win a role in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell had an agent appointed by her mother at the age 13 and she was subsequently hired as a model for advertisements on television and newspapers. In addition to taking private lessons, she began her acting career in the year 2000. Bell had a minor role, uncredited in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School and was in the band and drama clubs. The Wizard of Oz was presented by the high school and she took home the part as Dorothy. After graduation Bell moved to New York City to attend prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, where she was a musical theater student. The year 2001 was the time Bell quit her university in order to play the role as Becky in Tom Sawyer. Also in 2001 that Bell made her first appearance in a credited film, Pootie Tang (2002). Unfortunately her scene has been cut out and only the credits depict her. Bell appeared in Broadway in The Crucible, a revival with Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
